THERE IS A TOP AND BOTTOM TO THE RINGS, THEY MUST BE INSTALLED SO THAT THE
OPENING IN THE RING FITS OVER THE PINS IN THE RING SLOT OF THE PISTON.
CHANCES ARE YOU INSTALLED THEM UPSIDE DOWN.
