Be careful in Maryland... My nephew got stoped and hassled by the
cops. He was of legal age (16) but did not have a permit. In Md. you
need to take the written portion of the drivers test. Then they will
issue you a liscense that says Moped Permit on top. It was a pretty
stiff fine and maybe points too... I belive he went to court and got out
of the penilties but what a hassle!
