Electronic rpm meters only count the ignition 'contacts' and are in 2 types, one collects from the sparkplug wire , and are not aware of more cylinders, (every 2 shaft cycles 1 spark) works with 1/2/4/1000 cylinders as you like) other collects this signal from the coil or ignition points contact. this one is cylinder depended scaled, you can adjust this by puting on a new scale on it for ex. 1/4 of the normal rpm, how conveniant, because you make more rpm as a car :). you can always ask a friend car mechanic, if you may bench mark it on a car-ignition-computer to get it accurate i used a do-it -your selve kit (i'll look if i can find a web seller) only raw read out with 15 leds Peter ----- Oorspronkelijk bericht ----- Van: THOMAS KELLEY Aan: Verzonden: woensdag 5 april 2000 14:56 Onderwerp: Re: tachometer on a c90 > No > >
