I want to thank everyone on the list who offered tips and suggestions when I asked for help with my Derbi moped. I took the moped back to the dealer, and although he offered to rewire it for me, I declined based on the fact that I don't think the mechanic there is 100% competent. I looked at the wiring myself, and it was pretty much spaghetti. Someone had really done a job on it, and it was definitly fubar. Bob at Handy-Bikes let me trade in the Derbi for full credit towards the purchase of a new Hero Majestic Panther. At first I didn't like the styling of the Panther, but it is quickly growing on me. Nonetheless, it is brand new and runs just great. I'll miss the little Derbi, and if I had more time and didn't live in a second story apartment I would have tackled working on it myself. Thanks again to everyone on the list to everyone for your multiple replies -- Off to look for hop up kits for the Panther. . . Brant
