hi dave make sure the disk surface is flat and has no 'bad sectors' #grin# . clean with brake cleaner. make sure no of the pads is worn , or is tilting when applied. no sand or other residue is left on the pads before putting 'em in. and when they squeek all the time , probably the spring is bad or falsely put on (to keep the pad 'wide'), or the pad to guiding surf. isn't slippery (you could grease it lightly, make sure no oil hits the pads or disk) so it isn't pushed enough outward to release the disk. 2nd tought , could be springless type... or better, start by 'releasing the brake pistons, make sure the are functioning smootly, you have to press them(or the one depending on type..) a little inside and apply brake to let it out again. (make sure it doesn't come out to far..put something between piston and disk..!) several times until you can (easy) press em in bij hand peter ----- Oorspronkelijk bericht ----- Van: Aan: Verzonden: maandag 17 juli 2000 2:39 Onderwerp: Squeeky Brakes > I just bought a brand new Derbi Predator.
