hi
chris was right about the jet or filter clogged up possibility..
or the air filter is messed up some how, you need air and gas to get a fine
mix..
a little of both is available, enough to idle. When asked more one of them
is in shortage.
try to run w/o air filter, if this doesn't work it is the fuel
(tank-filter,tap,line,bowl valve, inner piping of the carb, jet, gas needle)
good luck

Hi......
I left my Honda Elite (late 80's) sitting for a year or so. I drained
old gas and refilled the tank, but now although it will start and idle,
as soon as I give it gas, it dies. I did the obvious things - removed
the carb bowl and cleaned it. Checked the vacumn line to the petcock
etc., but no luck. Any ideas out there?
Thanks
Austin
