Seth, In my opinion its a great bike, be sure the muffler is good. Many times people "punched out" the muffler trying to make it sound like a motorcycle (expensive replacement). Check out all body parts carefully, they are very hard to find in the right color, even the white leg guards are getting difficult if not impossible to find. One yard in Calif. wanted 150. for that part alone (I paid 20. after searching for 2 months). I doubt that the electric starter works, few do. If it shifts now, its probably OK. Check the case for cracks where the shifter shaft enters. If you remove the shifter you may be able to bend it back. I have always had a warm place in my heart for this style bike. I was in a country where many used this bike for their prime transportation. I logged many miles myself. I think that on your model you must remove the leg guard to check the air filter, make sure it hasn't decomposed allowing paper to enter the carb. Another thing, the front fender (plastic) has a tendency to tear under the fork, you may want to check that also. The more I think about it the more memories that come back, thanks. Once while riding down a dirt road, a cart loaded full, took his half in the middle, as I passed ................. Hank PS; You may not want your friends to see you ride it, their way out of style.
