The variator transmition usses a belt and 2 adjustable drive pullys. One
pully has weights in it that adjust the ratio by RPM's. The second just has
a spring that reacts to the first pully. I don't think they make em for
puch. From what I remeber the puch only cam with either a single or dual
speed, it also is chain drive. I used to have a 2 speed puch and a single
speed garreli, I swear that the garelli was always faster.
