I've always liked the idea of folding bicycle.
Back in Russia I had one called "Sal'ut"("Salute"). When our
family went to summer cottage, I could fold Sal'ut , put it on
a train and take it with me.
Now, in U.S., folding bike makes sense once again - because it can
be easily kept in a car trunk. Not long ago I spotted one called
NorthWoods in a DAMARK catalog. The price was extremely
reasonable - $79. They couldn't say, how much assembly would be
required, but I went ahead and ordered anyway. I have it now and
all I can say is "IT RULES!".
It's always with me. Desire to ride usually comes on impulse -
and now I have a chance to fullfill it right away, since the
bike is in a trunk. I put it together in a minute or so and then
explore the neighborhood around the building where I work.
Northwoods bike is red, small and cute looking. It's also easy
to pedal and extremely maneuverable - much more so than the road
bikes that I've ridden in past years. I am enjoying every minute
of riding my folding bike!
